BRABU BA History Part-1 (General & Subsidiary) Theory Syllabus

The students offering History as a subject of Subsidiary course of study will be required to answer 5 questions in the Examination in each year of the three year’s Degree (Subsidiary) course.

4. Sixth century B.C.- Rise of Magadh and the religious reformation movement.
5. The Age of the Mauryas- Political History with special reference to Chandragupta and Ashoka. Decline of the Mauryas.
6. The age of Guptas with special reference to Samudragupta and Chandra gupta II- Social, economic and cultural developments, decline.
7. The age of Harshvardhan.
8. Cultural contribution of Palas and Pallavas.
9. Cholas administration.
10. Arab invasion of Sindh.
11. Turko Afgan Ruler: Iltutmish, Balban, Allaudin Khilji, Md. Bin Tuglaqu, Firoz Tuglaqu.
12. Rise of Vijaynagar Empire and Bahamani Kingdom.
13. Bhakti and Sufi movement.
14. Causes and the effects of the first Battle of Panipat in 1526.
